About Me

Emma J. Hand was born in Ballarat, Australia, in 1975. Emma has worked predominately with epoxy resin since a right shoulder injury in 2010 prevented her from doing her traditional acrylic painting. She now uses her left hand to create her resin artwork. All of Emma’s pieces are created with coloured resin poured onto a canvas and then manipulated if need be. None of her artwork is painted and then just covered with clear resin. Emma has sold numerous artworks over the past decade including at The Sydney Affordable Art Show, The Melbourne Affordable Art Show, and galleries throughout Melbourne. Emma recently received a “Highly Commended Award” at the Camberwell Art Show 2013 for her artwork “Lucky Dip”. The piece also sold at the show. Emma now lives and works in Melbourne.
